This concerto, in E minor, was written for a competent student and can be performed easily by players from grade 6 up. There is opportunity for improvising or composing your own cadenzas in the first and last movements, and the orchestral parts are suitable for a school or youth orchestra, or indeed an amateur adult orchestra, with players from grade 2-3 up to grade 6.
It was first performed by Sian Hawker in Minehead, West Somerset, United Kingdom in 2009.
