These two pieces are very interesting, written in a free style with the music evoking their titles. The first is a 'meander down lanes with frangipani plants on either side;, whilst the second recalls the hills of Ubud Bali. Both have an Asian feel derived from their use of pentatonic scales. They are not technically difficult and are free flowing, with Back to Ubud being written without bar lines, for players who want something a little different.
