*Medieval Instrumental Pieces.* All the pieces here are writtenin the rhythmically ornate style typical of the late fifteenth century. The composer seems to have had little interest in the move towards melodic simplicity and textual clarity characteristic of the early sixteenth century. Numbers 4 and 5 presumably had text at some stage, but it seems clear that the music, with its many melismas, made few concessions to the natural rhythms of the words. For 3 instruments.
