Angelic Choirs

Angelic Choirs is a piece written for recorder quartet.

Composer Lance Eccles says: 'Angelic Choirs portrays in five ATTB quartets the nine choirs of angels in paradise. The most exalted choir, the Seraphim, sail majestically across the heavens. Slightly below them the Cherubim float leisurely, until suddenly they receive a message from on high and fly into action. Thrones and Dominions consists of variations on a ten-bar theme. Virtues, Powers and Principalities march confidently in 12/8 time. Angels and Archangels are messengers between heaven and earth, flying busily back and forth'.
