Around the World with my Recorder

*An Around the World Fantasy!* The first stop on our round the world trip is down under in Australia. Now, how about a cocktail in the Caribbean? Then a cooler reflection in the serenity of Japan followed by a stop in Romania's peaceful countryside for some folk music. Then nights in balmy Cuba and finally back in England at a country house hotel for a weekend "whodunnit"...?

Jayson Mackie was born in Cardiff in 1975 & studied recorders, flute, piano as a child later adding saxophone  Interest in composition through GCSE and A-level music resulting in publication of Jazz Suite for flute quartet at age 16 First person to ever study composition as a principal study at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) as an undergraduate from 1997-2000, then MMus from 2002-2004. Awarded a first and a distinction in composition respectively
