Variations on the Westminster Chimes for Solo Metalphone and Recorder Ensemble

The sequence of notes of the Westminster or Big Ben chimes is world famous and strikes every day on innumerable clocks. It is easily remembered: AFGC, CGAF, AGFC, CGAF but those few notes are very impressive. Anyone who has ever stood under Big Ben when it is chiming will never forget it. 

For performance you need a metalphone or tubular bells. a treble glockenspiel would do too. you could blend the individual chimes so that they can be played alternately at higher or lower pitches.
