*Baroque Concerto.* Include introduction in Japanese and English.
Dieupart emigrated from France to London around the year 1700 and established himself there until his death in 1740, as a violinist and harpsichordist, composer and teacher. His first name is given in music dictionaries as 'Charles; although it seems to have been in fact Francois (later anglicized to Francis) since his signature appears on the will of Bressan the famous recorder player as Francis and on a letter as 'F. Dieupart'. His most celebrated compositions are a set of six suites for harpsichord (which Dieupart also published in a version for recorder and basso continuo) made famous because J.S.Bach copied out two of the suites and the table of ornaments and used a theme from the suite in A for his so called English Suite in the same key. These suites are in the Italian style in a later set of six sonatas for recorder and basso continuo.
