The composition combines stylistic devices from baroque, romantic and modern to represent the multifaceted day of a watchmaker. The watchmaker (2009) musically describes Laura's working day. She is still lying comfortably in bed, then slowly waking up she goes to work. Of course, things don't always go smoothly, but the good mood and the fun with the watches determine your day. Finally closing time! After a nice evening she goes to bed and gradually comes to rest, dreams and wakes up again after a wonderful and dreamy night. It has come full circle.
Beautiful sounds and melodies that allow freedom in contrast to clear rhythms that symbolize lightness and joy. Two musical quotations from the Romantic era were not to be missed. At the beginning of the night by Franz Schubert Des Baches Lullaby appears from Die Schöne Müllerin (Gute Ruh, Gute, Ruh, close your eyes …….) And merges with the reverie from Robert Schumann's Scenes for Children, Op. 15.
The Edition Tre Fontane Publications are beautifully presented and have heavy covers, high quality paper and are superbly typeset.
