This describes five animals to be found in the forests of far northern Europe.
The names given to them here (Karhu, Kyy, Ilves, Susi and Ahma) are actually their Finnish names.
Karhu the Bear lumbers through the forest at a steady pace looking for something to eat.
Kyy the Viper, a venomous snake, wriggles along the ground in the sunshine of the long summer days.
Ilves the Lynx, a medium-sized cat, strides confidently forward through the undergrowth to see what unfortunate birds or small animals it can add to its diet.
Susi the Wolf howls to his companions, who reply in the distance.
Ahma the Wolverine is a ferocious and muscular animal that bounds through the snow looking for its prey. - Lance Eccles
