*Renaissance Motet.* Andreas de Silva is a somewhat mysterious figure, about whom relatively little is known, although he does seem to have had a considerable reputation in his lifetime as a composer of church music. He is thought to have been Spanish in origin and was a singer in the Pope~~~~~s private chapel. This is one of several motets from the early sixteenth century written for closely-spaced voices. Can be performed by instrumentalists or singers - lyrics and cover notes included.
