Ricercari

Contemporary recorder solo with seven Ricercari.

"It is said that Japanese Buddhist monks are used to play recorder. It is forbidden to them to play publicly. I find this practice splendid, it has inspired me the writing of those scores for the seven days of the week. This music then, is dedicated to meditation and improvement. There is absolutely no style to follow. The interpret is free to play them entirely or partly, adding his own exercises or improvisations, essentially between different parts. Be free. Play my notes, but make your music.
If one play a Ricercar a day only for himself for years, something will happen. The only thing is, I do not know what will."
