"Ideas for this music came to mind when I saw a group of people walking along with a small dog on a lead. I thought the dog looked happy, and the first movement, Dog’s Delight, expresses that happiness. In Frequent Pauses, the dog runs happily ahead, but, as dogs do, he often makes brief stops. After all the activity, he lies down for a Dog’s Rest. And then it’s time for him to go home, Racing back to the Kennel." Lance Eccles Dec, 2024
