Waiting for a Bus

*3 Jazzy Fantasies* written for SAATB Recorder Quintet. Includes extensive notes and suggestions as to interpretation by the composer. Features 20th century techniques and body movement.

Waiting for a Bus was commissioned by David Barnett in 1994. It fuses material from the music of Guillaume de Machaut and Guillaume Dufay with world music and jazz elements as well as avant-garde improvisation and theatre, This is accomplished in a way that is accessible to both the players and the listeners.
