Joanne Arnott (NSW)
Sonata in F Major:
1st Mvt: Everyone learn the treble part of the Adagio ma non tanto. If you have a bass, also have a look at the bass part if you would like to assist in sometimes playing the harmony. Be familiar with notes and do your best to work out the rhythm, but don't worry if you are not sure, as we will go through this together. We will also work on musicality, phrasing and expression of the written out florid ornamentation, so aim to be as fluent as possible with the notes in preparation.
2nd Mvt: Prepare notes and rhythm as best you can, with particular focus bars 41-56 of the Allegro.
3rd Mvt: Prepare notes and rhythm. Extra focus needed in the first 2 lines of the second section of the Siciliano.
4th Mvt: Prepare all notes and rhythms as best you can, with particular attention on the first 3 lines of the second section of the Allegro assai.
